As some of you may be aware a whole revamped forum is on the horizon. So don't despair the colour and font issues are going to be replaced by something better.
However this new forum will have some issues with older versions of internet browsers. In particular IE6 or earlier as well as earlier versions of Firefox and Safari.
The reason for this is the basis for most forums now days is Cascading Style Sheets (or CSS) and of course to get the best experience CSS 2 or later is being used. IE6 and these other earlier browsers are not compatible with much of CSS above version 2 and even then they can struggle.
I am hoping this isn't an issue and that most people are now using the later version of IE7 or IE8, Firefox 3.x or Safari 3.
If this is going to cause a lot of people grief I need to know so that a potential work around can be found. But my recommendation would be: upgrade your browser.
Some of the things to look forward to are the ability:
* for user to increase/decrease font size
* to post links to Youtube and Google Video
* to post attached files _________________ Derek Moore LROCV#431
